Receiving the 2020 Small Business of The Year Award
My name is Maria Ramirez, and I am the founding CEO of Pack My Truck Moving Company. I would like to first take a second and thank all of our valued customers for believing in our business. Pack My Truck Moving Co. is a female-led, family owned and operated business with more than 14 years of experience servicing the Portland metro and surrounding areas. I can’t express how much gratitude I have, being that we are in the beginning of our 3rd year of business and have accomplished so much in such a small amount of time. I want to thank Livelihood NW for the guidance and help they have provided Pack My Truck during these past 2 years.
We have been working with Livelihood NW, an organization that helps local business' by primarily offering mentor-ship and legal council through the small business legal clinic, among many other things. Their mission is to foster business sustainability and growth for historically under-served entrepreneurs within NW communities. They offer a variety of programs for business owners at any stage of their journey.
We are currently a part of their Long-Term Business Support Program as well as Project Increase. Livelihood NW has helped us stay focused on developing and attaining achievable goals, even during the Covid-19 pandemic. In our first year of business, we were able to qualify for Project Increase and through the pandemic, we have maintained our eligibility by quickly adapting and overcoming dramatic market shifts.

We are overjoyed to have had this opportunity and the support of Livelihood NW to further grow our business. Again, I would like to thank all of our customers because without you, we would not have the honor of receiving such an award.

And in spite of the Covid-19 pandemic, we are looking forward to expanding our offerings as a business in 2021, while continuing to do so safely, and efficiently.
